WIND2NH3 GAUCHO
RP Global Austria GmbH is planning to build a 10 GW wind farm with a connected electrolysis plant to produce green hydrogen and in the following, green ammonia in South America. The required water will be obtained with a seawater desalination plant. The green ammonia will serve as an energy carrier.
On behalf of the investor, movingpower GmbH has been commissioned to evaluate suitable technologies for electrolysis and seawater desalination. When designing the hydrogen production, we refer to the practical experience of our hydrogen production plant in Werlte, Germany. The conceptual design of the desalination plant is carried out by Aqua Engineering, a company that has been designing and constructing turnkey seawater desalination plants based on reverse osmosis for over 30 years. Within the scope of the study, the cost of the future plant will be estimated, and a visualisation prepared.
